Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. Prepare the stuffing. Add the boxed stuffing mix to a large mixing bowl.
  3. Pour in the boiling water and melted butter according to your stuffing package directions. For the stuffing I used, this was 1 1/2 cups boiling water and 1/4 cup melted butter.
  4. Stir until the stuffing is evenly moistened.
  5. Set the stuffing aside while you prepare the chicken filling.
  6. In a separate large mixing bowl, add the condensed cream of chicken soup.
  7. Add the sour cream.
  8. Pour in the chicken broth.
  9. Add the milk.
  10. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  11. Whisk everything together until smooth and fully combined.
  12. Add the cooked shredded chicken.
  13. Add the frozen corn or your preferred frozen vegetables.
  14. Using a spatula, gently fold the chicken and vegetables into the creamy mixture until evenly combined.
  15. Grab a 9x13-inch casserole dish.
  16. Spoon the creamy chicken mixture into the bottom of the baking dish.
  17. Spread the filling into an even layer.
  18. Take the prepared stuffing mixture and spoon it evenly over the chicken filling.
  19. Spread the stuffing across the top, covering the chicken mixture.
  20. Bake uncovered at 375°F for approximately 30–35 minutes.
  21. The casserole is ready when the filling is hot and bubbling and the stuffing on top is golden.
  22. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
  23. Serve warm, with gravy over the top if desired.
  24. Enjoy!
