- For the Dough
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 packet fast rising yeast
- For the Garlic Butter and Filling
- Melted butter
- Black pepper, to taste
- Italian seasoning, to taste
- Garlic powder, to taste
- Mozzarella cheese, shredded
Instructions
- Add warm water to the bread maker pan.
- Add melted butter and sugar.
- Add the all purpose flour on top.
- Add salt, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning to the side of the flour.
- Make a small well in the center of the flour.
- Add the fast rising yeast into the well.
- Close the bread maker and set it to the raw dough or dough setting.
- Let the bread maker knead and proof the dough.
- Once the dough is done, place it onto parchment paper.
- Sprinkle a little flour on top if the dough feels sticky.
- Remove the bread maker paddle from the dough.
- Form the dough into a ball.
- Cut the dough into 1 to 2 inch pieces.
- In a bowl, mix melted butter with black pepper, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.
- Dip each piece of dough lightly into the seasoned butter.
- Place the buttered dough pieces loosely into a bread pan, making one layer.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the first layer.
- Continue layering buttered dough pieces and mozzarella until all the dough is used.
- Let the bread rise for about 20 to 30 minutes.
- Bake until the bread is cooked through and golden.
- If desired, add more mozzarella cheese halfway through baking.
- Let cool slightly, then pull apart and serve warm.
